The McMaster Health Systems Workforce Collaborative is partnership-driven, working closely with leading institutions to advance innovative research. We engage partners at every stage of the research process from shaping research questions to sharing data and applying findings.

Our Collaborators

Together, we generate evidence that support workforce planning, policy and operational decision-making. Through these collaborations, our partners gain access to practical recommendations, policy-relevant insights, specialized health, social system, economic datasets and multidisciplinary expertise grounded in real-world needs. We work directly with regulated and unregulated healthcare workers and healthcare leaders to examine workforce supply and demand, scope of practice, and models of care.

We collaborate with international institutions and organizations with cross-border mandates to advance comparative and global workforce research.

Examples include: Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), World Health Organization Collaborating Centres (WHOCC), Global Observatory of Long-Term Care (GOLTC)

We partner with universities, colleges and academic centres to advance interdisciplinary research, training and knowledge translation in health workforce policy and systems design.
